Again here we have a simple preposition. Contra means against.

El coche se estrelló contra el muro.
= The car crashed against the wall.
Lucharon por tres horas contra el viento, pero al fin abandonaron.
= They fought for three hours against the wind, but in the end they gave up.
Contra su estupidez no se puede hacer nada.
= There is nothing you can do against is stubbornness.
Es absurdo estar contra la globalización.
= It's absurd to be against globalisation.
