  12.20 gracias a = thanks to

  12.21 menos = except, besides

Todos menos él estuvieron contentos. = All except (besides) him were content.

  12.22 según = according to

Según lo que ha dicho ya no hay dinero. = According to what he has said there is no money.

  12.23 tras, detrás de, después de = after, behind

tras can have a timely sense. Then it is translated with after. If it is used in a timely sense it can be substituted by después de.

Tras el desayuno vamos a dar una vuelta por la ciudad.
